<Part 1>
While reading or studying, an average person's memory has something called the primacy and recency.
Primacy is what you encounter at the start of your study/reading and recency is what you most recently encountered. People tend to remember the first and last part of what you read and the information in between these parts do not have a strong memory. To preserve most of what you read, you can split your reading/studying time into smaller segments. About 25 minutes at a time is adequet and in between these sessions, you need a 5 minute brain break.
What to do in a Brain Break?
1. Breath - your brain needs 20 percent of all the oxygen you intake. Also, the lower 1/3 of your lung can take 2/3 of the total oxygen, so take a deep breath, take your diaphragm to its maximum. When you feel fatigue of take a brain break, always remember to take a deep breath for more oxygen. Take 10 deep diaphragmic breaths.
2. Hydrate - drink water to hydrate you brain and body.
<Part 2>
3. Move your body - Your brain's primary function is to move your body. So, this means that by moving your body, you can effectively stimulate your brain. One technique to stimulate the brain is doing Brain Yoga. First, stand up and with Your right hand, hold your left ear lobe and with your left hand, hold your right ear lobe and massage it with your fingers. Then, while doing this, squat down while inhaling deeply and exhale while you stand back up. By doing brain yoga, you will effectively stimulate diverse parts of your brain. As an alternative, you could just do jumping jacks or do other exercises that increases your bpm so more blood flows to your brain to deliver oxygen.
So, to maintain your concentration and productivity, do not sit for too long and repeat
